LYDENBURG – It was survival of the fittest during the second annual Amazing Race for charity, hosted by Seymore du Toit & Basson Attorneys.
The event was held on Friday and started at Rusoord Old Age Home. It ended at a “secret” destination at Jam Jar Lounge.
Teams set off at 09:00 and were supplied with a clue sheet to assist them in completing activities at various locations in town. Some tasks required them even to take photographs. The event was tricky and harder than last year and it took the teams longer to figure out the clues and to reach their final destination.
The race’s rules specified that to enter every team had to donate toiletries or adult nappies. The beneficiary for the 2015 Amazing Race was an old-age home.
Barko Developments won, followed by Amarula and Deo Volente Estate Agency which received the team spirit prize for the second consecutive year.
The best-costume prize went to Re/Max Properties which also won the consolation prize for coming last.
