The judges described Karabo's performance as flawless, with Unathi Msengana, the only female judge, saying his choice of this song catered for a mature audience.

MBOMBELA – Mpumalanga’s golden boy, Karabo Mogane has made it to the top five in South African Idols season eleven.
For his first performance of the night, Karabo sang Alicia Keys’ 2002 hit song “Falling” and fans in the packed Pretoria State were on their feet as he delivered yet another top-notch performance.

One of Idols’ tough-as-nails judge Randal Abrahams was very impressed with Karabo’s performance, describing him as grounded and always willing to learn. He sang Ringo Madlongozi’s rendition of “Ekuseni” in his second performance, a local song that is popular among matured Afro-pop jazz lovers.

The judges described Karabo’s performance as flawless, with Unathi Msengana, the only female judge, saying his choice of this song catered for a mature audience. The journey has never been so smooth for the 24-year-old geo-informatics student at the University of Stellenbosch

During his audition in Pretoria judge Somizi Mhlongo described him as someone who has a “dishwashing water” personality, but over the past few weeks Karabo’s performance has changed him into a potential Idol season eleven winner.

Karabo thanked his fans on his Facebook page for voting him into the top five.”Thank you so much for your love and support.
