Riverview swimmers make a splash at Curro

This past weekend learners of Riverview Prep School came back with 14 gold medals after participating in a swimming gala at Curro Nelspruit in Mbombela.

Julian Schmuck who participated in the u/7 and u/9 age groups, received two gold medals in the u/7 freestyle and backstroke, one bronze in the u/7 breaststroke and butterfly, and one silver in the u/9 freestyle relay.

Lilly Schmuck brought home two silver medals, one in the u/9 freestyle and another in the u/9 freestyle relay. Nick de Zwart and Gregor Thomson obtained bronze in the u/8 butterfly.

Annyke Pretorius received a silver medal in the u/9 freestyle, Alzané van Graan brought home a bronze in u/9 backstroke, and Luke Spear, a silver medal in the u/9 freestyle relay.

Also in the u/9, Shelly Cloete and Olivia Ralfe got silver medals in the freestyle relay. Rob Butcher, Danny Snyman, Hannah van Faulkenhausen and Ruby James all received bronze in u/11 freestyle.

Georgina Butcher brought home a gold medal in the u/11 breaststroke and also set a new record.
