Lowveld High School rewards its brightest matriculants

The achievements the learners attained, wouldn't have been possible without the incredible passion and dedication of the teachers.

MBOMBELA – Lowveld High recently held a ceremony to reward matriculants who had raised the school’s flag high.

According to the principal, Ms Jane Wandrag, the achievements the learners attained, wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible passion and dedication of the teachers.

Addressing them at the ceremony, she said that they had been selfless in playing their roles as leaders.

“Many of you neglect your own families in order to educate our children, you work incredibly hard and invest many hours and much energy into the holistic development of Lowveld High School learners,” said Wandrag.
Ahmed Noorbhaib was the dux pupil, with Naledi Machete receiving the Rotary Award.
Other achievers were Bongani Mashele who was honoured with the David Gray and Menzi Mkhonza with the Meritorious Service awards.

She also mentioned that the school expected excellent matric results. “You have made a huge contribution to Lowveld High School, now we rely on you to produce the results we all know you are capable of in the final examinations,” Wandrag said.

Two candidates, Sumaiyah Ismail and Ricylo Jamal, each obtained six distinctions.
Two learners from the school had excelled in the provincial Olympiads. Nhlamulo Mobie obtained position one in accounting in the female category with Cutin Ndala second in the male category.
