Valentines treated to love and scrumptious food

A glittering annual Valentine's dinner, hosted by the Old Apostolic Church of South Africa, took place on Saturday February 13 at the Hoërskool Lydenburg hall.

LYDENBURG – A glittering annual Valentine’s dinner, hosted by the Old Apostolic Church of South Africa, took place on Saturday February 13 at the Hoërskool Lydenburg hall.

The church hosts various events to raise funds every year.

According to Adel van Zyl, one of the organisers, a few women from the church took it upon themselves to sell tickets for this well-attended event and they were also hostesses on the evening.

“Each hostess had a table to decorate according to a Valentine’s theme and they were judged for the best and most original table. The winner walked off with a capsule coffee machine,” she explained.

All the guests enjoyed a scrumptious three-course meal prepared by Bruce Anandale and a photo booth was set up for guests to capture the special memories with their loved ones.
