The Umjindi Soccer Laduma Supporters (USLS) Branch has urged soccer enthusiasts in and around the area who are willing to travel to witness with their own eyes how one of the Soweto soccer giants is knocked out of contention in the first round of the Nedbank Cup, to join them.
The two South African rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will clash at the FNB Stadium this coming Saturday in a Nedbank last 32 encounter. Kick-off will be at 15:00.
With the last league encounter between the two in December having produced no winner, Saturday’s match is a must-win for both sides.
“We are leaving to Johannesburg on Saturday to watch a game of which we are sure that it will produce a result. We are tired of travelling all the way to Gauteng to see matches that end in a stalemate,” said Maras “Kortman” Nkosi.
He said the fact was that no one gained bragging rights when the two teams played draws.
“Our trips to Johannesburg were starting to become predictable and boring as we would all returning home sharing the bragging rights. But come Saturday, one team’s fans will seek a hole to hide in, in our bus on the way back home as they will be the laughing stock after the game. A winner will be produced on Saturday, that’s for sure,” said Nkosi.
Anyone who would like to join the USLS to watch the game live at Johannesburg, can contact Nkosi on 071-275-6099 or Maloli Moscow on 082-690-0488.
The return fare is R350 per person, excluding the match ticket.
Game tickets are selling at R100 (level 1 and 2), R80 (level 5) and R15 for children under the age of 12 at computicket.
