OHRIGSTAD – Two people died and two others are in critical condition at Dilokong Hospital, after a Nissan Maxima and a Volkswagen Jetta collided on the R555 on March 12.
The horrific accident happened at about 23:40, just next to Hannah Lodge. The two drivers of the cars were declared dead on the scene by the Dilokong Emergency medical services.
“The Maxima was driven by Mr Dick Sewela of Dresden, while the Jetta’s driver, Mr Simon Rantho hailed from Madiseng village,” said the spokesman for Ohrigstad police, Const Kholofelo Phokane.
According to Phokane, the two survivors were travelling with Sewela in the Maxima.
“We would like to urge the community to be patient when driving and to abide to the road rules. Our officers are currently investigating a case of culpable homicide,” said Phokane.
