Easter is a religious holiday, but some of its customs like Easter eggs, are linked to pagan traditions. From a Christian perspective, Easter eggs are said to represent the emergence of Jesus from the tomb and his resurrection. Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to at least the 13th century. The largest egg ever made was over 25 feet tall and weighed over 8 000 pounds. It was made of chocolate and marshmallow.
