Elephants feast at Lebombo Border Post

Two elephants were spotted grazing next to the N4 road.

Motorists travelling to the Lebombo Border Post were treated to a sighting of two elephants that were grazing in dense bush next to the N4 road.

TRAC N4 spokesperson Solange Soares said they received a call from their help desk about the animals.

In a video supplied to Lowvelder, Soares urges motorists to drive with caution in the area while many travellers couldn’t resist taking out their phones to record the sighting.

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency’s spokesperson, Simphiwe Shungube, said that a helicopter is on its way to push the elephants back into the Kruger National Park.

The origin of the elephants is unknown.
