White River are no match for Rooikat claws

Rooikat Rugby Club has qualified for the semi-finals in the Ehlanzeni Mayor’s League.

They played against White River at Lydenburg Rugby Club last Thursday. They won 16-10.

According to Jaco Potgieter, the head coach, Thursday’s encounter was their final group-stage game.

“We won a difficult battle that required us to fight hard for a spot in the semi-finals.”

Fly half Roberts Siebert scored all the points. He slotted three penalties, scored a try which he converted.

The men of the match were Siebert (backs) and Ruhan Bouwer (forwards).

The Rooikatte will face Barberton Rugby Club away at 16:00 tomorrow.
