Local women are reminded of their immense worth at Laske Nakke

Local women enjoyed a heart-to-heart session with the well- known motivational speaker, Aletté-Johanni Winckler, at Lodge Laske Nakke last Saturday.

LYDENBURG – Local women enjoyed a heart-to-heart session with the well- known motivational speaker, Aletté-Johanni Winckler, at Lodge Laske Nakke last Saturday.

She is the wife of Idols winner, Heinz Winckler and captivates people wherever she goes – helping them gain new confidence, bringing out the best in themselves.

Winckler has a degree in journalism, is a qualified image consultant, stylist, writes a popular blog for Sarie’s website, is a Sarie’s Red Carpet correspondent, forms part of the Association of Image Consultants International and serves on the board of the Professional Image Association of Africa.

The event was organised by two local women, Carla van Niekerk and Lilané Nieuwoudt.

According to Van Niekerk, the idea came to mind after they saw Winckler during her presentation at the 2016 Finesse Net-vir-die-girls-bootreis.

“When we heard her talking about how a woman is the heart of the house and that if she is not happy, almost everything in the house is affected, we had to make sure that Lydenburg women also got to hear her presentation. We wanted them to learn what we had learned.”

During her visit to the town, she spoke about various issues that all woman face on a daily basis.

“As women, we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves because we are mothers or wives. This presentation should help you to remember that you can still look beautiful even if you have a family to care for.”

She reminded them to remain motivated and never give up.

According to Winckler, she would like to leave the town’s women with one message. “There is always hope in life no matter what. Whether it is at work, or when it comes to the family or kids. Never give up. Keep going.”

The two organisers received positive feedback from the public. “We are truly grateful for the support we got from the public,” Van Niekerk said.

“To our main sponsors Aqua Terra, Postnet and Laske Nakke as well as everyone who contributed through funds, this would not have been a success without all of you.”
