BADPLAAS – Police and emergency personnel rushed to an accident scene between Badplaas and Elukwatini this morning to discover that three had been killed. Elswhere in the province, three more were injured in another motor vehicle accident.
Police spokesman Brig Leonard Hlathi confirmed that a bakkie had overturned on the R38 early this morning, causing the deaths of three people.
“A vehicle overturned on the N2 between Ermelo and Piet Retief last night at 23:00,” he said. “The driver sustained minor injuries. An eight month old baby an one other passanger were seriously injured,” Hlathi added.
Three others were killed in the accident.
