Hazyview Junction has officially opened

A new future has dawned for the residents of Hazyview, and it's an exceptionally bright one at that.

A new future has dawned for the residents of Hazyview, and it’s an exceptionally bright one at that. Hazyview Junction, a brand-new R220-million lifestyle centre is now open, and it is sure to infuse the surrounding Lowveld region with a fresh dynamism.

Its conveniently accessible retail offerings are a first for the area, and according to stakeholders, they couldn’t be more excited.

Having been 100 per cent let more than three months prior to opening, and housing an array of recognised retailers, including Checkers and Game, Hazyview Junction is set to become the ideal destination for customers looking to browse through the offerings of an assortment of retailers, or for those who simply want to relax and grab a coffee with good friends.

According to Mr Christopher Harvie of Hazyview’s Chamber of Business and Tourism, this brings a sense of renewal to the town.

“We predict that there will be an influx from far and wide, especially on the domestic front,” he added.

“This is by far the most developed that Hazyview has ever been, which will cause it to develop even more to accommodate the increasing number of tourism. The benefits are endless,” he said.

The 16 500-square-metre centre in the heart of Hazyview, right on the doorstep of the Kruger National Park, will boast more than 30 state-of-the-art stores.

It will offer an abundance of safe and convenient parking. A new pedestrian bridge between Lowveld Mall and Hazyview Junction will add to the convenience by improving accessibility and the safety of shoppers.

In conjunction with the adjacent Lowveld Mall, it will cater for each and every need. The latter is currently undergoing an entire revamp, including tiling, lighting, bulkheads, restrooms, entrances, signage, parking and security. Its estimated time of completion is the first quarter of 2017.

Many tenants at this 65 000-square-metre mall will upgrade their stores to improve clients’ shopping safari.

Creating much excitement, the food court will include Milky Lane, Steers Diner, Fishaways and Debonairs. Already functional are Shoprite, Pick n Pay, SUPERSPAR, Boxer and OBC. A Roots Butchery will open soon.

Cleanliness and safety of the shoppers will be its first priority.
