HILLTOP – The R40 between Mbombela and Barbertonis was closed for trucks after a freight truck loaded with building material veered off the road last night.

The wreck is not visible from the road. Aerial footage shows that, after veering off the road, the truck rambled downhill along a slope and came to a standstill after about 150 metres. Technicians were working at retrieving the wreck.
The driver of the truck has was not injured.
