BURGERSFORT – Nine injured when two taxi’s collided. 3km Outside Burgersfort on the R37, a taxi trying to enter onto the main road, hit another taxi on its sliding door on Saturday. The impact forced it off the road into the veld. The sliding door was pushed to the inside of the taxi pushing passangers on top of each other, causing many to be injured. According to bystanders the taxi that approached the main road did not observe properly, and that is the cause of the accident. 1 Star EMS Services transported one patient to Dilokong Hospital and they are positive about his condition. The base manager of Maponya 911, Mr Koketso Mathonsi told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that they transported seven passengers to Dilokong Hospital and one critically injured to Modikwa Platinum Health Clinic. Dilokong Hospital could not comment on the patients’ conditions due to patient confidentiality
