PHOTOS: Hoot ‘n Anny offer killer entertainment at Kuzuri

The band's quirky, soulful, country-folk sound made quite an impression.

MBOMBELA – Locals let their hair down at Hoot ‘n Anny’s Kuzuri performance on Saturday night.

It was clear that the band and the venue were in high demand. Patrons booked tables in advance and a few last-minute guests wriggled their way to the bar’s seating area before the band’s first note took them on a journey of its own. IMG_9760 (Medium)

The Pretoria-based band’s quirky, soulful, country-folk sound made the audience dance, laugh, and get in touch with their deepest emotions while enjoying the fellowship of fellow music lovers.

Winers and diners had a roaring time. Kuzuri’s menu offers something for every discerning guest. Hoot ‘n Anny comprises talented guitarist and vocalist Franco and Alouise Jamneck. The band started making music about six years ago.

Franco has been in the industry for more than 12 years. Among others, he was part of Soil 7t7 and The Fake Leather Blues Band.

Alouise’s voice has a unique and mesmerising sound to it that fits the genres they perform. The Jamnecks were joined on stage by acclaimed musician Peter Toussaint. After the show, guests ventured outside to enjoy the crisp night air on the large wooden deck.

With the sound of the Lowveld National Botanical Garden’s waterfalls in the background, they could reminisce after enjoying as perfect an evening as life has to offer.
