Phosa is the Chairman of Special Olympics South Africa.

AUSTRIA – Dr Mathews Phosa stood alongside princess Charlene of Monaco and Deputy Sports Minister Mr Gert Oosthuizen as the three prepared to partake in the opening event of the Special Olympics last night.

Phosa is the Chairman of Special Olympics South Africa.

It was clearly a very special experience.

A total of 107 delegations marched into the Planaistadium in Austria. The carried their national flags and the Special Olympics flag. International stars like Helene Fischer and Jason Mraz performed at the event.

 

Phosa, princess Charlene and Mr Oosthuizen  with Special Olympics South Africa athletes at the opening ceremony.  The Special Olympics will continue until March 24.
