BURGERSFORT – Leboeng SAPS have one less vehicle after the station’s bakkie was allegedly set ablaze by Kgautswana villagers last Saturday.According to Limpopo SAPS spokesman, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, two of their officers went to a scene where community members accused a woman of being involved in the death of her husband.They wanted to take the law into their own hands and attacked the woman, but the officers managed to rescue her.”While the crowd was standing outside the home, baying for the woman’s blood, the officers ran away with the woman through the back door and used a small footpath to escape from the mob. They left their bakkie behind.”Ngoepe said the villagers reacted by blockading all the roads leading to the village, to prevent other police officers from coming to the scene.”When the police eventually arrived after the road was cleared, the bakkie was burned to ashes.
