New Ford dealership opens with much fanfare
Malalane Ford officially opened their doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and invited community members to visit the new dealership and browse the vehicles on offer on November 11.
MALALANE – The roar of new vehicles, confetti and a talented marimba band created a welcoming atmosphere at the opening of the local Ford dealership, on the N4, on November 11.
Guests braved the rain for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony by Cllr Zandile Shungube of the Nkomazi Local Municipality, who represented the mayor.
She stated that they were happy with this new investment into Malalane’s economy and promised the municipality’s support in this venture.
Potential buyers, friends and family browsed the variety of vehicles on the showroom floor, while drinking coffee and snacking on muffins or carnival eats such as Slushies, popcorn and cotton candy.

The Ford Mustang drew a lot of attention, with many gazing at it wistfully or inspecting the interior and engine, and discussing its specs.
The KaMagugu Inclusive School’s marimba band ensured a festive ambience with several excellent performances.
Malalane Ford was opened after the owners of Nelspruit Ford realised there was a great need for a dealership in the Onderberg and decided to expand.

The dealership aims to be eco-friendly by recycling everything they can and making use of specialists in the field.
About 70 per cent of the staff are Onderbergers, and aftersales manager Wayne du Plessis said their aim is to provide top-notch, friendly and professional service at all times.
He encouraged Ford owners to bring any model to the dealership, even from across the border, for its service.
Potential clients were happy that they would now be able to get their vehicles serviced closer to home and that they could expect the same great service they received from the Mbombela and Barberton branches.
Gerhard Coetzer of Securicon Lowveld, who has a 20-strong fleet of Ford vehicles, stated that he was looking forward to personal service and would continue to support Ford for its reliability.
A few new additions to the Securicon Lowveld fleet, as well as other customers, were sent off the floor with confetti, a smoke machine and loud cheers throughout the day.
