BREAKING: Girl (16) found

UPDATE: Maureen Wagner was found in bushes on the outskirts of Steelpoort. She fought off her attackers and was reunited with her family later the evening. Full story to appear in the printed edition of February 16.

LYDENBURG – The community of Steelpoort, Burgersfort, Lydenburg and surrounding areas are urged to be on the look-out for a missing 16-year-old girl.

Maureen Wagner went missing this morning after 11:00.

According to information received, Maureen SMS’ed her boyfriend to say that she is scared and that someone is watching her.

When the family arrived home, all the security doors were open and Maureen’s phone was found broken on the kitchen floor.
