The striking feature of Rajasthani’s music and dance forms is that there is immense variety. In fact, nothing much has changed since the time of their inception, probably 1 000 years ago.

Songs of ancient poets such as Kabir, Malookdas and Meera have become an integral part of the Rajasthani folklore.

Apart from festivals, the music and dance of Rajasthani is also enjoyed during special occasions such as marriage and childbirth.
