LYDENBURG – Hundreds of protestors rocked up to Thaba Chweu Local Municipality (TCLM) on Thursday.
Residents demanded that the long outstanding forensic audit be released. TCLM has failed to release this report for months.
More than R300 million has been unaccounted for according to this report.
Protestors tore down the gates of TCLM and demanded that their grievances be heard.
They then proceeded to burn tyres in Voortrekker Street and trashed various other streets in the CBD.
No official statement has been released by TCLM following the protest.
