BREAKING: Long Tom to be closed again

LYDENBURG – For the second time in a week the Long Tom Pass will be closed on account of yet another truck accident.

Two haul trucks collided with one another just after 21:00 tonight (Tuesday).

According to Deon Broekman of Rapid Response, the driver of one of the trucks fell asleep behind the wheel.

The truck collided with another truck just after the Potato Seed Production company.

“The pass will be closed for the recovery of the trucks. We will keep drivers informed of when recovery will take place and the road reopened,” Broekman said.
