All Sabie roads re-opened after protest

According to the information received, they are fed-up with the corruption at Thaba Chweu Local Municipality.

The Sabie/Graskop roads are now opened and the police are on the scene. This follows after reports of a protest action and blocking of roads by the Sabie Youth Community yesterday.

Earlier there were reports saying that the T-junction in Sabie on the Hazyview side was closed off too – which is now open.


The public is urged to take caution when driving on this road.

According to a statement from Acornhoek Cluster, the members gathered from 00:01 on Monday. They had planned to block all main entrances to and from Sabie. Allegedly their intention was to make it impossible for anyone to go to work.
