WATCH: Police disperse protesters on R40 with stun grenades

A group staging a march to the Office of the Premier blocked the road with rocks in Riverside.

MBOMBELA – The DA supported a march with government interns to the government complex on Wednesday morning.

The aim was to hand a memorandum of demands over to the Office of the Premier regarding interns who are alleged not to be getting paid.

Dumisile Masuku, spokesman for the provincial leader Jane Sithole, said a group that had joined the march, who she was uncertain about who they were, blockaded the road.

Police spokesman, Capt Zandile Gqawa, confirmed that the were dispersed with stun grenades.
