Laerskool Burgersfort pupils get to show off for grandparents

BURGERSFORT – Pupils were ecstatic when they recently celebrated the grandma and grandpa day at Laerskool Burgersfort. The school hosts this event annually to improve ties between children and their grandparents. This is also so the elderly can see what their grandchildren are doing during their days.

The children came to school flanked by grandparents. Others boasted to their peers about how special their grannies were, while some showed their grandpas their school projects. The scholars concluded the event by performing a variety of extramural activities that included performances by the school choirs and drama teams. The school’s management thanked the grandparents who attended the event.
