MTB Trails at Pull Scar offers exciting race
The thrilling routes made for a popular event, with single tracks providing a fun challenge to riders.
Reinhart Viljoen and Claudia Slattery took top spots in Saturday’s Demacon Max Wax mountain bike race held on the MTO Trails at Pull Scar between White River and Hazyview.
A light morning drizzle provided ideal circumstances to take on the winding forest tracks through the plantations in this second event in the Lowveld’s four-part mountain bike series.
Event organiser Tanya Knight from Sunshine Events said the thrilling routes made for a popular event, with single tracks providing a fun challenge to riders in the 30- and 55-kilometre categories. “There were a few steep climbs in the 55-kilometre race, making it all the more challenging.”
