LYDENBURG – The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an advisory of a heatwave that is expected over the Lowveld of Mpumalanga, parts of the Nort West and Free State from Friday (tomorrow).

The heat will be accompanied by persistent high temperatures. The scorching weather is said to last until Monday next week.

“Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo from Friday, spreading across the provinces on Saturday and continuing until at least Monday,” the SAWS warned.

It further stated that extremely hot conditions are said to start in the Lowveld from tomorrow.
