Highlands College continues to educate pupils during lockdown

BURGERSFORT – Highlands College pupils have been hard at work doing school projects and assignments during the lockdown.

The school started with online classes four weeks ago.

 

The lockdown has forced many to stay inside their homes, with adults working remotely and students resorting to online classes.

Daily lessons in the form of videos and school projects are circulated via social media and email by the educators.

Speaking to the Steelburger/Lydenburg News, Fatima Mahomed, director of the school, confirmed that her school commenced with online lessons three weeks ago.

The online lessons are from Grade R to matric.

She also thanked the parents for their support during these challenging times.

“We’re doing this so that the child can keep learning during the lockdown. During the long weekend, parents asked for more work for the kids, because they are well-behaved when doing school work.”
