All aboard pie, chips and gravy train!

The Lowveld Pie, Chips and Gravy Train began at Halls Farm Stall in August 2019.

It was started by Marius Bakkes who wanted to know whether the old “station” pie and gravy still existed.

The famous opening ‘toot toot’ is done by Dave Walters at every gathering.

Since then, Thea Rix has taken the Gravy Train to various restaurants in order to find the perfect gravy and most delicious pie. It started small, but has now grown to approximately 30 people, once a month riding the Lowveld Pie, Chips and Gravy Train.
