Sanral warns motorists of road closure on N12

The South African National Road Agency (Sanral) released a notice informing motorists of a partial road closure that is scheduled to take place on the N12 from Monday July 19 to Thursday July 22.

The partial road closure will take place at section 20 between eMahlaleni and Ogies from 08:00 to 16:00 and will affect traffic in both directions. It is necessary and required for the installation of three 400KV Eskom overhead powerlines.

The partial road closure will be monitored by eMalahleni and Mpumalanga provincial traffic officers who will indicate the area in clear and visible blue lights on their vehicles during the above-mentioned times and dates.

The closure may need to be adjusted depending on weather conditions on the day. If need be, a second notice with information of new times will be made available.

Sanral apologises to motorists for any inconvenience caused and cautions them to use alternative routes, plan for traffic delays and adhere to speed limits.
