Pediatric patients’ patience rewarded thanks to some caring friends
Pediatric Care Africa (PCA) has thanked Busamed Private Hospital and the StepMed Rehabilitation Centre for helping local children in desperate need of medical attention.

MBOMBELA – The PCA secretary, Surika van der Merwe, said the week saw a young local boy receiving much-needed surgery from a renowned ear, nose and throat specialist, Dr Gustav Smook of Busamed, while another child with cerebral palsy received his special Madiba buggy from Stepmed.

Van der Merwe said last week also saw PCA helping another little local boy to get an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon, and a young girl receiving an appointment with a doctor.
“Thank you, Dr Smook and Busamed Private Hospital in Mbombela, for your kind assistance to the little boy we brought to you for help,” she said.
