These two are racing towards glory and need your vote

The Motoring Women of the Year Awards (M-WOTY) is powered by MFC, a division of Nedbank. Public voting opened on August 1 and the winner will be announced at the end of September.

“For these ladies to be finalists in this competition, does not come as a surprise at all. They have been with Produkta Nissan in excess of 10 years each. Their success is due to hard work, value adding, customer satisfaction, customer retention, people skills and most importantly passion for what they do. Success is directly attributable to the people you employ, our industry suits the personalities of both these two ladies like a glove and that is why they are so successful in what they do,” said dealer principal of Produkta Nissan, Gerrie Cronje.

Category 7: Leadership Award – in recognition of patience, empathy, team building, and the ability to teach and mentor

Cindy Nieuwenhuizen – sales manager – Produkta Nissan

“Life is a journey,” says Cindy. She made a shot left from the property market to the motoring industry where she excelled within the local Suzuki dealership. One award after the other followed and some would say, inevitably so, she moved into her current position. Cindy is dynamic and firm. “I know what I want, and I will tenaciously go about achieving that.” She has won Sales Manager of the Year twice with Suzuki, Dealership of the Year (small category) two years in a row – 2011 and 2012. And in 2015 she also won the Produkta Group’s New Vehicle Sales Manager of the Year award.

“Sales are about people. We are about people and thus adapting to this new way of doing business digitally, presented many challenges. Present methodologies have, in a way, also changed, a yet to be defined future and we can but hope that it will, once again, allow us more personal one-to-one interaction. Lack of stock makes forward planning a challenge – but then, all dealers are in a similar situation and authentic relationships with and superb service to customers, will determine our success. “Of course I was surprised to find myself a finalist in this competition. But hey, it is part of the journey and I am ready to claim it with the voting support from locals so please, visit the FB page and vote, vote and vote!

Category 9: Key Contributor Award – recognition of loyalty and faithfulness for a period of 10 to 15 years

Tanja Jacobs – workshop foreman – Produkta Nissan

“Our methodologies in terms of personal one-to-one contact in the workshop haven’t changed much. We have to receive the customer in person – keep them updated throughout the time their car is with us. So adhering to Covid-19 protocols has become second nature. “This certainly is a challenging environment to work in, especially for us women, but I must immediately admit that things have and are changing quickly. This is as a rewarding career for women as is any other. In my world, good people skills are critical. An open mind is gold and addressing the problem (not the person) immediately builds longterm relationships and staff buy-in. It also develops authentic confidence and respect. “Being a finalist in this prestigious competition – well, I am still trying to catch my breath, but please, visit the page and vote.”
