Lowveld to remain cloudy for the week

According to the South African Weather Service, there is a 30% chance for rain for the remainder of the week.

Lowvelders may expect the rest of the week to remain cloudy, with drizzle and rain expected until at least Saturday October 9.

Luthando Masimini, a forecaster of the South African Weather Service, said the Lowveld would be cloudy on Monday October 5, with some drizzle in the morning.

“The drizzle will ease off in the afternoon, but it will remain cloudy to partly cloudy.”

On Wednesday to Thursday, the chance for rain will increase. It is expected to be cloudy with some drizzle in the morning on Wednesday, with a 30% chance of rain. In the afternoon there will be a chance of isolated showers and thundershowers.

On Thursday there is once again a chance for showers and thundershowers.

According to Masimini, the weather will start to clear up over the weekend, but another weather system is expected to bring more rain to the Lowveld from Tuesday October 12.
