DA councillor joins Sada
The popular politician and DA councillor in the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM), Lethabile Joseph Kgwedi, has left the party.
Kgwedi, who has been a member of the DA for more than a decade, has joined the Socialist Agenda of Dispossessed Africans (Sada) on Monday. The news was confirmed by Sada’s president, Aubrey Ngwatle, on Tuesday.
“We confirm that the former FTLM DA Councillor Kgwedi has joined our progressive socialist vehicle, Sada. “Commissar Kgwedi is one of the finest materials, an erudite scholar and ethical leader who displayed immeasurable love for his people even during his time as a member of the conservative DA.

“He joined Sada after realising that the DA is on a space of maintaining the status quo of denying indigenous Africans their land birthright and also the continuous economic exclusion.”
Ngwatle described Kgwedi as a man who values young people. “He values the lives of young people who are continuously loitering around the streets while both the DA and ANC are playing smart on the issue of poverty, landlessness and inequality.”
Other members who were confirmed as new members of Sada included the former uMkhonto weSizwe combatant, Mogale “Nyamazane” Ntobeng, currently appointed as Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality’s coordinator, and Ronnie Mohlala, who will be deployed in Ward 16 of FTLM.
