Rhino horn possession case postponed again
Dawie Groenewald and AB Steyn were arrested for the alleged possession of 19 rhino horns on July 20, 2021.
Local businessman Schalk Abraham Steyn (49) and Limpopo game farmer Dawid Groenewald (53) appeared again in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday June 7.
The pair had been arrested for the alleged possession of 19 rhino horns on July 20, 2021, and after appearing in court on July 23 last year were released on bail of
R50 000 each.

As the case nears a year of investigation the matter has been postponed again to November 22. The case was postponed so that cases involving Steyn and Dawie can be centralised.
They are expected to appear in the Nelspruit Regional 1 Court.
