Good Fortuner for Mopani car winner

The event was held at Motus Toyota Nelspruit in Riverside last Wednesday night, June 8.

The lucky winner of the Mopani Pharmacy’s Win-a-Car Competition, Lizelle van Heerden, spent the evening of June 8 celebrating her win of a brand-new Toyota Fortuner.

Mopani Pharmacy had been running the competition for its customers as part of its 40th birthday celebrations.  The pharmacy announced the top 20 finalists on its Facebook page on May 24.  All the finalists gathered in the Motus Toyota showroom where they would soon find out who would be going home as the owner of the Toyota Fortuner.

They were made to choose a key ring from a bag. The 10 people who chose the red keyring advanced to the next round, in which they chose between blue and red USB disks. The four who chose the blue USB disks then each received a car key. The person with the key that opened the vehicle would be the winner.  When Van Heerden pressed her key, to her surprise, it opened the Fortuner.

Van Heerden said she was in awe that she had won.  “I still cannot believe that I have won this amazing prize,” she said.  “It still does not feel real. I am very thankful for this prize. Thank you all,” said Van Heerden.
