Reckless speeding in Marloth kills

Marloth Park urged drivers to stay within the speed limits of the park for the safety of the animals.

Last week, two animals had to be put down because of speeding.  This is the reality careless visitors and residents disobeying speed limits create.  The speed limit on the tar roads is 50km/h and 40km/h on gravel roads.

There are warnings at both entry gates as well as on the roads. Posters have been shared all over social media to inform people visiting Marloth Park as to what these limits are.  With the winter holidays coming up, an urgent request by Wildlife Rescue Nkomazi, Marloth Park CPF and concerned residents has been shared on Facebook and WhatsApp groups for lodges and guest house owners to inform visitors to adhere to the rules.
