Kaapsehoop’s lemon fair proves to be a sweet affair
The fair was held in Kaapsehoop at Miz Gooz Berry on Saturday morning, June 18.
The Sweet Like a Lemon Fair proved extremely popular with Lowvelders over the weekend, with lots of sweet treats, bespoke jewellery, bags and other goodies on sale.
Held at Miz Gooz Berry in Kaapsehoop on Saturday June 18, the fair opened up to excited visitors at 09:00 and ended at about 15:00.
With the splendour of the landscape as the backdrop of the fair, stallholders lined the grassy area in front of Miz Gooz Berry’s shop, ready to sell some local handmade items to the visitors, from handcrafted and brightly coloured glass products, to handmade jewellery, knives, bags, dolls and mugs, to an array of delicious delights including ice cream, cakes, designer biscuits and of course, lemonade.
Miz Gooz Berry herself, Berry Legg, said the market was an opportunity to support local businesses making quality products from a place of passion.
She thanked all the stallholders who came out to the fair and the visitors who came out in their numbers to support them.
