Suspect arrested for possession of stolen vehicle near Hazyview
The Isuzu was found to have been hijacked in Acornhoek in May.

The provincial SAPS welcomed the arrest of Isaac Potlwane (56) for being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle in Phola near Hazyview on June 25.
According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brig Selvy Mohlala, the SAPS received information about a Isuzu single-cab bakkie that was hijacked in Acornhoek in May. The police reacted to the information and found the vehicle. Potlwane, who had just attended a funeral, was arrested and a police case was opened at the Masoyi Police Station, Mohlala said.

The suspect appeared in the KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court on Monday June 27 on the abovementioned charges. He was remanded in custody and will appear again in the Masoyi Magistrate’s Court for a bail application on July 1.
The provincial police commissioner, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela, has welcomed the arrest of the perpetrator as well as the recovery of the vehicle, commending the work done by the members of the community who alerted the police when they noticed the suspected stolen car.
