Lions Club provides soup for Nelspruit Community Forum

The donation was part of Mandela Day, which is celebrated annually on July 18.

The Nelspruit Lions Club made and donated over 50 litres of soup to the Nelspruit Community Forum on Damascus Farm in Claremont on Sunday afternoon, July 17.

The club had nominated Nelspruit Community Forum after registering with the organisation Chefs with Compassion, which had pledged to distribute 67 000 litres of soup to people and families who need it most.

The Nelspruit Lions Club brought 50 litres of soup, margarine and buns.

The Nelspruit Lions Club had set a goal of 25 litres of soup, but managed to donate over 50 litres.

Over 50 litres of soup was brought t6o Damascus Farm by the Nelspruit Lions Club.
