80s party a gnarly affair at White River’s Magnolia

This White River restaurant hosted an all-round fun and colourful evening when it brought the 80s back to life.

Locals worked up quite the appetite in their gnarly 80s attire and accompanying dance moves this past weekend.

Magnolia Restaurant & Café hosted an 80s Decade Dance on July 29, with a delicious three-course meal to fuel the dancing.

The attendees rocked up in anything and everything, from colourful workout wear and big hair to slick leather jackets. To top all the festivities off, a lucky draw saw three people walking off with exciting prizes.

Guests were asked to make a donation to Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency as part of the evening, as the restaurant deems itself a lover of all animals.

When the prizes were all handed over and the desserts were thoroughly enjoyed, the dancing continued well into the night to the tune of some of the 80s’ biggest hits.
