Glitz and glamour as Penryn hosts its matric dance

Penryn’s matrics made their way to the exquisite Whispering Thorns for an unforgettable evening on Saturday July 23.

Down the red carpet and into a monochrome gala setting, the matrics were treated to fine dining and entertainment. Every detail enjoyed flawless attention for the event, from the table decor to the silver service and three-course meal.

The Grade 11 music learner, Tessi Ratnarajah, filled the air with her beautiful voice as she graced the stage with a performance of “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae. The head boy, Heath Robinson, and head girl, Kopano Shongwe, spoke about the memories that had been made since Grade Eight. Toasts were also made to the Class of 2022 and to Penryn College.
