The eisteddfod-type culture and dance competition will take place from Tuesday August 16 to Friday August 19.
Lydenburg’s Got Talent (LGT), hosted by the Rosemarie Middleton Dance Centre, will be even bigger than before with world-renowned celebrity actors and artists on the judging panel. On Saturday August 20, the winners of the different events during the week will be invited to perform at the gala performance. The whole event is taking place at Hoërskool Lydenburg. Entries for LGT are closed.

Salome Sechele’s list of accomplishments in the dance world is extensive: choreographer, performer, dance teacher, former SA Latin Champion, 10 dance professional championships, represented South Africa in Hong Kong, Russia, Germany France, Switzerland, Netherlands, the United States and USA, international work in various TV shows, adverts, and music videos, qualified and respected adjudicator, has judged internationally and locally.Pieter Krügel het geen formele kunsopleiding gehad, nie maar is ’n meester in realisme, beeldhou, olieen waterverf. Hy het opdragwerke vir kliënte in Amerika, Nederland en selfs China gelewer, waar sy skilderye ook baie gewild is. Hy gaan tydens Lydenburg’s Got Talent die kuns en beeldhou beoordeel.Jacques Lombard sal die seremoniemeester tydens die galaaand wees. Hy is nie net ’n bekende Laevelder nie, maar het al bekendheid as TV-aanbieder, akteur, sanger, modeontwerper en ’n kundige in die skoonheidsbedryf verwerf. Hy is ’n filantroop en entrepreneur. Lombard het al verskeie provinsiale, nasionale en nternasionale model- en skoonheidskompetisies beoordeel en kundiges ken hom vir sy regverdigheid. Hy is ook ’n direkteur van Mrs Mpumalanga en Provincial Mpumalanga wat ’n bemagtigingsplatform vir vroue is. Hy het sy eie klerereeks met die naam Ladz Timess Couture, spesialiseer in rooitapytfunksies en was al twee keer genooi na die Africa Fashion Week waar sy werk ten toon gestel is. Kunste is sy passie en enigiets wat te doen het met die ermaaklikheidsbedryf, en daarom het hy nie geskroom om deel te wees van die LGT nie.Ian Roberts is a South African actor, playwright and singer. A native English speaker, he is also fluent in Afrikaans and Xhosa. In addition to working on the stage as a director and actor, he is also the lead singer in Radio Kalahari Orkes. Lydenburg is fortunate to call him a resident and he will be adjudicating throughout Lydenburg’s Got Talent week.Elsabe Malan is a trained ballet teacher with over 10 years of experience in teaching classical and contemporary ballet. She has a three-year national diploma in dance at the Tshwane University of Technology, specialising in dance pedagogy. She has performed and choreographed for various productions at the Pretoria State Theatre, Breytenbach Theatre, and Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre. She has experience in styles such as ballet, contemporary, tap, African and children’s work.Jan Neethling is ’n onderwyser in die Lydenburg-omgewing. Sy passie vir musiek is merkbaar en hy het al twee albums opgeneem. Verder stel hy belang in kuns, doen pottebakkery en hou van gesels oor noemenswaardige gebeure. Verder boer hy in sy vrye tyd met ngunibeeste en geniet die lewe.
RMDC is the organisers of the event, with the Hoërskool Lydenburg as the venue, with Rosemarie Middleton and Brendan McClaren being assisted by a team of volunteers.
