White River Rotary Club hosts lunch event for charity

All the proceeds from the day will be donated to White River Hospice and other Rotary projects.

A lovely lunch and entertainment by a few local artists was hosted by the White River Rotary Club in the Uplands Prep School pavilion on Sunday August 14.

The Rotarians prepared a delicious three-course meal and acted as waiters and waitresses throughout the afternoon, while the guests sat in the glorious sunshine and enjoyed listening to live music performed by three artists.

Phiwo Mashabane, the overall winner of the recent Uplands College Music Competition, showed his musical talent on the keyboard. The vocalist, Endle, entertained the group with a variety of songs, and last but not least came Stix Dumisa, a well-known trumpeter in the Lowveld.
