Strong team assembled for Klerksdorp 7s festival
"The guys are going to participate in the biggest 7s rugby tournament in Klerksdorp from September 29. " There, they will compete in a two-day series against the best in the country in the 7s format," revealed team manager John Coetzee.
The local rugby season recently ended, but there are still more rugby games to be played.
“Tokanui Warriors was established in 2018, and it consists of a majority of Ratels and a few Rooikatte players. Also, we will have some guys from Gauteng joining the team.
“The guys are going to participate in the biggest 7s rugby tournament in Klerksdorp from September 29.
” There, they will compete in a two-day series against the best in the country in the 7s format,” revealed team manager John Coetzee.
He said they entered two teams in the bronze and social leagues respectively.
“The Tokanui Warriors team would like to thank all the sponsorships that made it possible for them to go and enjoy the game of rugby,” added Coetzee.
Steelburger/Lydenburg News will support this team and will provide results of the games they play.
