Disney characters brought to life by Barberton Primary
Learners and teachers alike stepped into Disney characters in Barberton Primary School's recent concert.

Young and old were whisked away on a magic carpet ride during the recent concert held by the pupils and teachers of Barberton Primary School.
The evening kicked off with King Robert the Magnificent welcoming the audience. “Whether you are young, or more, or even very experienced (we do not use the word ‘old’ in our realm), you are going to have the opportunity to relive your youth,” the king said.

Attendees to the concert met important subjects of the kingdom, such as Captain Hook, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack Sparrow, and Cruella de Vil at the door as they entered the castle.

The well-known tunes of Disney movies filled the hall as the colourful characters came alive on stage. The audience was entertained with dances from Frozen, 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, Pocahontas and The Lion King, to mention a few.

King Robert thanked Dame Pollie Theunissen, Dame Miems du Plessis and Dame Rina Bester, who, together with the palace staff, worked very hard and tirelessly alongside the other lords and ladies to prepare the younglings for the magical show.
