11 people injured in multivehicle collision near Dullstroom

Emergency services had to fill up some potholes after they had helped the injured.

At about 16:10 on Sunday October 2, a collision occurred between a VW Polo, Toyota Hilux and a Suzuki Swift on the R540 about halfway between Lydenburg and Dullstroom.

Two people sustained serious injuries and nine sustained minor abrasions and lacerations. The two with serious injuries were transported by ambulance to the Lydenburg Hospital.

After treating the patients, emergency personnel took it upon themselves to fill two large potholes that had allegedly played a role in the accident.

Emergency workers from Thaba Chweu Fire and Rescue filled the potholes temporarily with sand.
