Former Mpumalanga MEC for agriculture back in provincial cabinet
The premier announced that Mandla Msibi was reinstated as the MEC for co-operative governance and traditional affairs.

Former Mpumalanga MEC for agriculture, Mandla Msibi, has been reinstated to the Mpumalanga Government cabinet.
Meanwhile, both Vusi Mkhatshwa and Mohita Latchminarain were fired from it.
These changes were announced by the premier, Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane, on Friday October 7 during a media briefing held at the Provincial Government Complex.

Msibi’s inclusion to the cabinet comes weeks after he was acquitted by the Mpumalanga High Court on the murder charges he was facing.

“These changes to the composition of the provincial cabinet are necessitated by our desire to attain the targets we had set for this Medium-Term Strategic Framework, while accelerating the implementation of our economic reconstruction and recovery plan and the overall implementation of the key deliverables as set out in the National Development Plan, as well as the Mpumalanga Development Plan,” said Mtshweni-Tsipane.
