New acting municipal manager for Thaba Chweu
The contract of the current municipal manager ends on Tuesday November 1.
Voted by councillors, Peter Mankga was chosen as the new acting municipal manager (MM) for Thaba Chweu Local Municipality on Monday October 31.
Mangka was the director of Corporate Services before his new appointment.
A source told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that there was a lot of discussion about who to nominate for the acting MM’s position during the Ehlanzeni Regional ANC Conference on Wednesday and Thursday October 27 and 28.
During the council meeting, the DA councillors and other opposition parties did not second this appointment and nomination.
